Undergraduate Catalog 2022-2023

Documentary Studies Certificate

Undergraduate certificates may only be earned and will only be awarded in conjunction with a bachelor's degree. They will not be awarded as an independent credential.

Information about the Department of Communication can be found on the department page.

The Documentary Studies certificate offers students further education in community-based learning, research, field work, and storytelling. The program in documentary studies views documentary studies as an interdisciplinary field that allows for students to focus on documentary as a mode of artistic expression, a means to create meaning, and a vehicle for the dissemination of research.
