SPAN 3620 Spanish for Global Health I

Prerequisites: SPAN 3010 and SPAN 3020. SPAN 3620 is the first of two courses in which students investigate health care terminology and cultural themes that facilitate communication in a variety of global health care venues. In this course, students will acquire intermediate Spanish conversational terminology in general medicine settings, basic medical vocabulary and health care concepts, and cultural concepts that relate to Hispanic health care within the scope of the U.S., Latin America, and the Spanish-speaking world.
