Music Minor

Students interested in minoring in Music must contact the Music department office about entrance requirements and auditioning. Many courses have prerequisites, and students should discuss the planning of their minor curriculum with an academic advisor.

Minor Requirements

Required Courses

Satisfactorily complete 18 hours from the following courses, as well as three semesters of MUSC 1990 Recital Attendance. 

MUSC 1501 and MUSC 1511 are optional but highly recommended.
