Concentration Options - Internetworks or Human and Computer Interface Design

Available to Computer Science majors in the fall of their Senior year. 

These concentrations are satisfied by taking 12 semester hours at Georgia Tech, approved by the advisor and department chair.  Courses are listed in the Information Internetworks Thread or the People Thread in the Georgia Tech catalog at the time the courses are completed.

Admission requirements to concentration:

  • Minimum GPA: 3.4

  • File petition with Georgia College for exception of the residency requirement.

 

Specific course requirements at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) are required for these concentrations.  Please see your academic advisor for the current course requirements.

Note:  Minimum grade of C or better required for all courses taken at Georgia Tech for these concentrations and student is required to request official transcripts be sent from Georgia Tech to Georgia College after the semester is completed.

General Electives (7-16 semester hours)

CSCI 2810 Professional Development (1 hr) and CSCI 2811 Career Preparation (1 hr) preferred

Additional Degree Requirements

  1. A minimum of 39 semester hours overall must be at the 3000-4000 level. 
  2. BIDS 1705 or other GCSU 0001 First Year Academic Seminar (course will not count toward graduation).
  3. A grade of C or better is required in all CSCI courses.
  4. Any First Year Academic Seminar may be substituted for BIDS 1705 or GCSU 0001.
  5. Score of 130 or higher on ETS exam.
  6. To graduate, students must fulfill other requirements specified in the Graduation Requirements section of the Catalog.
