Non-Discrimination

The academic and administrative policies of the University subscribe to the non-discrimination provision of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which states: No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity of Georgia College. Georgia College also adheres to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 in that it does not discriminate on the basis of disability in regard to admission, employment, and access to programs or activities.

The academic and administrative policies of the University also subscribe to the non-discrimination provisions of Title IX of the Higher Education Act of 1972, which states: No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity of Georgia College.

It is understood that throughout this Catalog and all other publications of Georgia College, the terms he, his, himself, chairman, etc. are used without regard to gender.
