Cognate Area of Specialization (24 semester hours)

Students will complete 24 semester hours in courses approved by the advisor including a research methods course and a practicum or independent study course.  The remaining semester hours may be taken toward a minor, second major, or as electives approved by the advisor.

Total Credit Hours: 120

NOTES:
  1. Grades of C or better are required in Area F, major, minor, and approved elective courses.
  2. In order to graduate, students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and fulfill other requirements specified in the Graduation Requirements section of the Catalog.
  3. Signed agreement to the terms and conditions stated in the Outdoor Education Student Handbook is required for admission to and retention in the outdoor education program.
  4. Pass the comprehensive written portfolio exit exam.
  5. Complete First-Year Academic Seminar with a satisfactory grade. Students who are admitted as transfer students to Georgia College are not exempt from this requirement.
